go tonal – look #13

Playing around with colours can be tricky. Wearing entirely the same colour is quite tricky.. However it can be done! And you don’t have to be wearing the Melbourne all-black staple to do it. Neutral tones are the easiest to work with as they are  less dramatic, so they’re perfect for your first attempt. Mixing textures works a treat too!

I’ve got a combination of designer and affordable here – just as every girls (and boys) wardrobe should be. Try to keep it simple. Yes you’re going tonal, but that doesn’t mean everything from your hair colour to your socks need to match! Having said that, adding nail polish in the same tone takes your look to the next level without being OTT, plus quirky nails are so much fun. I’d keep my makeup in particular, at a minimal with each of these looks. They’re natural tones and so too should be your makeup.
